Can I use old frozen milk?

yes, absolutely. we can use milk which has been frozen for years. equally freshly expressed milk works great too.

How much milk do I need to send in?

5ml is prefect. we will send a test tube in your milk kit so you don’t need to worry about measuring it out. if you don’t have much don’t worry, get in contact or send us whatever you have and we will do our best to make you the perfect piece with what you have. a large lock of hair and enough for a tsp of cord is perfect to send in too.

What happens to any left over milk?

all remaining preserved milk is carefully stored for up to 1 year. this can be used to make more pieces should you require them. each 5-10ml tube can be used to make up to 3 pieces.

What finishes can I have?

we have 3 standard finishes. each one has a different level of sparkle to suit your style. just milk is the purest, opalescent has a coarse sparkle and pearly shimmer is the most sparkly. we can also create custom finishes just for you. get in touch to see what we can do.

How do I care for my jewellery?

the milk stone is susceptible to yellowing caused by excessive exposure to UV light. where possible remove any jewellery before visiting sunbeds etc. and do not store in direct sunlight. the milk stone can also be damaged by excessive exposure to water. always remove any jewellery before swimming, washing up, showering etc.

Why does it take so long to make?

every piece is handmade to order and several steps require a slow drying process. if this is rushed it could lead to an increase in imperfections and a substandard product. where possible we will do our best to meet any tight deadlines you may have, drop us a message if you have a question. the turnaround time doesn’t start until your milk kit has been returned to us.

I’ve changed my mind, can I cancel or return my item?

you are able to cancel your order up to 2 days after it has been placed, if a milk kit has been sent this will be charged for and deducted from your refund unless an alternative item is ordered. unfortunately, as each piece is made specifically for you, after this time we do no accept cancellations or returns.
